Why do celebrities undergo face lift?

I seriously believe that almost all—if not all—celebrities have undergone at least one type of cosmetic surgery in their lives since they started showbiz. Nowadays, it doesn’t seem abnormal at all. If any, it kind of became a requirement for celebrities to go under the knife because it’s a requirement for them to always look good in front of the cameras. Hence they are pushed to great lengths because of pressure either from media and the society or from themselves.

But one important thing that the general public should understand is that no matter what everyone says, and no matter how many procedures we undergo and how many face lift we do in the span of two years, we cannot and never will be satisfied with ourselves if we don’t accept who we really are.

There are a lot of cases where a celebrity has become obsessed in undergoing a face lift that she has become almost like a monster. The sad thing about it, often these kinds of celebrities aren’t even aware of what has become of them.

I guess what I’m trying to say is that we should look at cosmetic procedures as more than a means of giving in to our or our peers’ superficiality, and look at it more as a way of transforming us into better persons.
